The Desk

There are always little bits of value hidden in these short videos. This particular one is part of a series that looks at how the shapes of objects and how they affect people in different ways on a daily basis. The rest of the series are also equally as interesting, check those out here.

I think what’s most important to me is Kurt Andersen’s comment about a personal desk being a place where you can feel very comfortable being by yourself. A lot of work is done more effectively in solitude and I can never seem to feel the same ‘vibe’ when I’m away from what I call “home”. Sometimes some variation and change of scenery can do the trick, but then I’m rarely by myself.

Thank you for sharing this. I’ve made a repost because this material is really worth sharing.

I love this desk. It’s a really really cool desk. And the second desk – the colourful supports for the top shelf look great and funky as well. Liked the videos too. I agree Mikael about the personal space being the most inspirational place. I have freelanced on offices and it ever feels the same.
