Songs for Singing + The Panic Division

June 21st, 2010

When I was first turned onto The Panic Division, I couldn’t get enough. The band has this electronic, synthpop sound that just pulls me in. The sound is almost like a hint of David Bowie with a dash of the 80s. That may not be the most descriptive so feel free to share your take. Also, beware of listening to these tracks on Youtube, you may be completely thrown off. The amazing sound that I know them as is ruined by a sound that seems all too similar to many other bands out there today.

If you’re in the mood for more beat-filled tracks, check out the last song called Legacy.

I’m sooo glad I stumbled onto this. Thanks for sharing! The music is mesmerizing. I think I agree that it has that electronic feel with a more modern touch to it.

“here you go” is an amazing track. Man, I love that bands aren’t afraid to experiment with that “80′s” sound more… So much good experimenting happened then in a *tasteful* way, ie. blending more of a techno flavour.

This guy is a great singer. Holy crap. So much soul. I wouldn’t say David Bowie though. I’d say more ah ha? This dude has his own thing goin on!

    Great blog!

  4. I heard the music in an 80′s theme party I attended to. Still can’t get over it. I like Legacy the best. Thanks for sharing.
