Apple iPhone 5 “Plus” Concept

May 13th, 2012

It’s about that time when iPhone 5 rumors start ramping up. Fortunately I have one right here for you to feast your eyes upon. This iPhone 5 concept or as the original creator calls it, the “iPhone Plus”, was created by the same guy who dreamed up the Instagram Camera.

Here’s a quick feature list for you dreamed up by the creator:
– Liquid metal Body: thermoformed on a single plane, no junctions needed
– Screen with double alkali-aluminosilicate sheet glass
– 4.3″ Retina Display with In-Cell technology
– A6 Quad Core processor
– Rear Camera: 10.0 Megapixel, f/2.4, 1080p Full HD video at 30 FPS
– Front Camera: 2.0 Megapixel (VGA), 480p VGA video at 30 FPS
– Rear motion sensor
– Top pico-projector to beam photos and videos on any surfaces
– Slim design for an edge-to-edge thinner profile
– New slim-dock connector
– Fully “Capacitive” home button

What do you think about this iPhone Plus concept?

I’ve never believed in those early rumors and mockups, but damn it – those designs look amazing!

  2. iamtheju says:

It looks like the currect iPhone but instead of just breaking the screen you’ll snap it in two as well.
Will Siri work on this one or is it just in the adverts again?

  3. Kjell-Roger says:

Defenitely like. Sleak and sexy. And I would def go for the “natural” color, not black or white.

I however wonder how it’s going to feel in my pocket. Considering it’s thickness.
I’m kinda used to really feeling my iphone is there.

Also, I hope it’s not that much larger. I like the size of the current iPhone and seen alot of the larger competitors phone. I kinda feel we’re moving on too half-a-tablet sizes on phones and that I don’t dig at all.

  4. Bob says:

Cool looking, but I don’t think it’s like Apple to make its phones look more like its competitors. Larger displays were around when the 4 and 4s came out, but Apple stuck to its 3.5″ guns. Whatever the iPhone 5 ends up being, I bet it won’t be this.

  5. aleks says:

kinda looks a lot like HTC HD2

  6. Oliver says:

Why didn’t he put, like, an 80 megapixel camera in there? I mean, when you’re just making stuff up, why stop at 10MP?

  7. It’s hard to tell intent the scale from the images, but I really don’t think the iPhone needs to get thinner. The current weight feels great. The comps are damn sexy, though.

Granted this is not from Apple in any sort of way (because they don’t do this), I’m not that fond of it. It looks huge and thin and easily breakable. It looks so much like the new HTCs and Samsungs.

  10. continuously i used to read smaller articles or reviews that also clear their motive, and that is also happening with
this paragraph which I am reading here.

Apparently this gem was in development for “nearly two years” before making it

available to the masses for $99 USD last month. The idea, according to their site,

“was born out of a desire for efficiency” to carry only one device, not “one for

typing and correspondence and an iPhone for virtually everything else.
