When I was first turned onto The Panic Division, I couldn’t get enough. The band has this electronic, synthpop sound that just pulls me in. The sound is almost like a hint of David Bowie with a dash of the 80s. That may not be the most descriptive so feel free to share your take. Also, beware of listening to these tracks on Youtube, you may be completely thrown off. The amazing sound that I know them as is ruined by a sound that seems all too similar to many other bands out there today.
If you’re in the mood for more beat-filled tracks, check out the last song called Legacy.

As a navigational feature I’ve added a “related posts” feature below each post. You can see this when you click into a post to comment or see it in action here. Right now the relatedness is set pretty loosely but as new posts come in I’ll try and refine the results.
This should be a handy new feature so feel free to let me know what you think.

Once again I’ve landed on BAK Architects website. Their work is quite amazing regardless if some of their architectural designs are repetitive. It’s these summer houses made mainly with concrete and in clear wooded areas that really catch me. In my post here, I mentioned that Local construction codes of Mar Azul, Argentina prevent the remove of trees.
Cement houses like this always seem rather dry internally and could benefit from some soft, comfortable furniture pieces. It might soften up the interior and feel more like a place you’d want to live.

This version of the template has been completely redesigned from the ground up by Teehan + Lax. The template is based on iOS4 and includes all the elements you need to design proof-of-concepts or production ready assets. Previous versions of this file had issues like blurry edged buttons and incorrect “bevels”, but they have been addressed as best they can using Photoshop’s shape layers and layer styles.
As a note from the TL, if you’re modifying any of the vector elements be sure the shapes are sitting on full pixels or your assets will begin to look blurry. Also the file is still formatted for 480×320 resolution so you may have to wait if you’re designing for iPhone 4’s Retina Display feature.

The James-Robertson house is located on a hill overlooking Pittwater Bay in Australia. The house is made up of three black coated aluminum and steel structures combined with timber decking. All of the house’s sides are opened up to the outside by large glass windows, creating a sense of naturality.

Prior to seeing the Mid Century Modernist’s post about flip clocks, I hadn’t the slightest interest in these type of clocks. However, I’m now very interested and am trying to find a clock like the first image of the 3D rendered Ricoh Clock. I particularly love the reversed type on all of thse and the beautiful number flip that happens as the time changes.

I don’t believe architectural beauties in Montana and Idaho get enough credit. This particular cabin is owned by my good friend Ian Matteson’s family friends Jeff & Lois Sheldon. It came to fruition in 1993 when their neighbor deeded 113 acres of land to the Sheldon’s for $2.
A small cabin was already on the land, but at the base of the canyon. The new cabin was to be built further up the mountain to feel as if it was a lookout. I’ve been to quite a few lookouts growing up and I would agree that they are quite amazing—scary at times, but nevertheless amazing.
The cabin is powered by two fifty-watt photovoltaic panels that provide direct power to outlets, lights and the well pump. They also power things like a stereo, running water in the sink and even a wood-fired hot tub.

GAP Studios designed this beautiful package for the GAP 1969 concept store in Kingly Court in 2009 as a celebration for their 40 year heritage. The collection included exclusive denim, t-shirts and other designer collaborations. The actual packaging isa 12 inch Gap 1969 record sleeve as seen above. This design is beautifully similar to these Tonpress polish record sleeves.
After searching for a while I wasn’t able to come up with any other images of this package. It’s a shame because there were only 69 units sold.
