Temple Hills Laguna Beach Residence

The Temple Hills Residence was designed by Schola Architecture and is located just above Laguna Beach, California. The 5,000 square foot home uses a very refined modern interior with an emphasis of wood and concrete. The home feels very warm and cozy. I could imagine leaving the sliding glass doors open during the summer.

Paper Sculptures by Jeremy Kool

Jeremy kool is an artist and graphic designer living in Melbourne, Australia. The paper sculptures shown here are only a portion of the project, titled “The Paper Fox”. When he is finished, he aims to create an interactive storybook on digital tablets.

Bridle Road Residence

The Bridle Road Residence is located in Cape Town, South Africa and was designed by Rees Roberts and Partners. The house is tucked into the hillside just off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The large windows and beautiful landscaping allow for a truly beautiful view looking out over the pool and to the ocean.

Animals Get Haircuts for Braun

Agency mpact bbdo dubai commissioned the work of Austrian photographer Andreas Franke to create this series of images. The series were used for promoting the shaving and grooming appliances produced by the one and only, Braun.

What do I think about these images? One word, Braunimal.

Airport Runway Screenprints

We’ve seen infographics of airports but this is the first Airport runway poster that I’ve ever seen. This self-initiated screenprint project was created by Jerome Daksiewicz which features runway patterns of airports around the world. Really enjoying the minimal detail approach. Jerome has the prints for purchase on his website.

Swissted: Where Punk Rock meets Swiss Modernism

Swissted is the next greatest thing to hit the web besides Designspiration. It is an ongoing project by graphic designer Mike Joyce and also the owner of Stereotype design in New York City. Mikes love for punk rock music and Swiss design is what allows these two near polar opposites to meet. Each poster reflects the traditional international typographic style posters, each sized to the standard swiss kiosk dimensions of 35.5″ by 50″. The typeface used of course is Berthold Akzidenz Grotesk Medium.

Steven Harris Architects designed the Surfside Residence on Montauk Point peninsula in New York. The home has private access to a beach, heated swimming pool, spa and best of all an amazing view looking out over the ocean. Talk about a dream home.

Amazing Recycled Skateboard Deck Art

Japanese artist Haroshi used recycled skateboard decks to create these remarkable art pieces. His work showcases a style of mosaic shapes, bright colors and and stripes. At each color connection, pieces were melded together to form the final piece.

This home by Andersson Wise was an extensive renovation of an existing residence built in the late 1980′s on a wooded site in west Austin. The rooms inside the house were fully redesigned as well as the outside swimming pool and deck area.

The Mandeville Canyon Residence is located in Brentwood, California and was designed by Griffin Enright Architects. The modern interior makes the house feel warm and welcome. The whole living area can be opened up by sliding large glass doors aside. What a spectacular house to relax in during spring or summer nights.
