Butler Armsden Architects designed this beautiful residence on a hill in San Francisco. The hill that the home resides on is very steep, providing a beautiful sweeping view of the north neighborhoods, downtown and the bay. To the owner, the steep hill wasn’t an issue; it helped separate him from the city and allow for the view. Another requirement of the owner was a that the house be modern but warm and also that it blended with the surrounding landscape.
