It seems rare that you get to see the home where an architect actually lives. Fortunately Arthur Casas listed his own home on in his portfolio. The fact that the house lies within the Rain Forest of Sao Paulo, Brazil is just dreamy. The interiors are open to the outside giving the whole home its energy. I imagine the outside sounds are quite amazing as well; the thought alone of sitting outside on the deck is blowing my mind.

Does anyone know what kind of leather chair it is that can be seen in pictures 6, 7 and 10? It looks fantastic!
Thanks
Martin
love that the living space is part of the outdoors and brings in the landscape. beautifull atmosphere. I also like the wood pannelling on the exterior, has a finer quality with less reveals than most pannelling. It has a much better repreasentation of the material than most wood panneled houses.
Chair loOks like a generic mid century Danish one, but will have a look out for it.
Lol you guys do realize this place doesn’t actually exist, I saw this exact flloorplan rendered in Maya 2011 earlier this year, and I think the same artist even rendered a zombie proof household. Just goes to show you how AWESOME Maya is.
@Xiox can you show us some information/proof that the house doesn’t exist?
From the articles I’ve read I was quite confident that these were photographs and the house was actually real. Also according to the architects website the house is actual his home: http://www.arthurcasas.com/en/projects/residential_architecture/casaiporanga
want to move in. amazing house!
I want to know where the ladders in the office/bedroom go! Great house though, love the all the wood and huge sliding doors.

@AND Studio, I do as well! I hoped they led to a secret work space.

This looks like a Marcio Kogan (architect & designer) house
Awesome project by Arthur Casas. This house was also featured on a playboy magazine with Juliana Salimeni http://omadi.blogspot.com/2010/01/juliana-salimeni-juju-do-panico-na-tv.html?zx=178ce9498d85fedb
