Synthesizer 76 iPad App

December 20th, 2010

Ever come across an app that is so beautifully designed that you buy it regardless of whether or not you’ll actually use it? Jonas Eriksson’s Synthesizer 67 app design is one of those prime things that I feel I need to get my hands on. The graphics are really great, so great that not only do I want to buy the app, but also an iPad.

  1. 100%. I now want that app and an iPad, with the addition of also wanting to design a website with a similar look and feel.

    What has this man done.

I… I just want to touch it.

  3. I think it’s odd that this is getting so much attention when it doesn’t even exist, or at least it’s not available yet. It reminds me a bit of the Korg iMS-20 iPad app, which actually does exist. And is a lot of fun to play with. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/korg-ims-20/id401142966?mt=8

    Mark,

I think we were all fooled. I was under the impression that this was built already.
Your alternative is really great—definitely want to get my hands on it.

  5. Well, it does look really great, even if it’s just a mockup. The attention to visual detail looks more refined than with the iMS-20. It will be interesting to see if a real app comes of it.

Agree that IMS-20 is an amazing app…too amazing actually. If you don’t have experience with analog synths, there is definitely a learning curve. This on the other hand (if built), looks like it would be easier to tinker around with and show off to friends. Either way, what is happening with music apps on the IPad is great, between IMS-20, amplitube, pro-keys, bebot, improVox and Korg iElectribe, you can create anything…the only thing missing is a really decent multitrack editor (tried most and they are all awful) and a better way to move clips between the apps. If they port garage-band to iPad and make it easy to import from other apps, I would be a happy guy.

  7. […] is another app floating around right now called Synthesizer 76 that is also worth checking out. However I’m not sure if its available via the iTunes store […]

You should add “iPad” to your tags.
    Great blog.

  9. Hey! I realize this is somewhat off-topic however I had to ask.
Does building a well-established website like yours take a large amount of work?
I’m completely new to running a blog however I do write in my journal daily.

I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share my personal experience and views online.
Please let me know if you have any ideas or tips for brand new aspiring blog owners.
    Thankyou!
