Some clever advertisements by Leica. I believe the advertising agency that did these was Young & Rubicam of Zurich-Gockhausen, Switzerland. Panasonic also ran a similar campaign.

Hmmm…. I gotta disagree… good concept for a print campaign, but outdoors? They literally blend completely into their backgrounds, I doubt 4 people in 5 would even give them a second glance – no point in having a really clever idea if nobody sees it.
This is my favorite kind of advertising! It doesn’t do much to pollute the visual environment… in fact it’s probably inspired a couple people to take a second look at local details they took for granted.
Chris, it’s true that a lot of people will walk right past. But Leica is an expensive camera, aimed at people who are visually aware and notice the little things. Anyone that doesn’t see this sign, doesn’t deserve a Leica. I think this marketing is dead-on.

What a great idea! Very impressive campaign.
Amazing, using such a simple concept, shaping it for the big crowd. Big fan here!
Great series.Must be nice to get the budget for a campaign with unique posters.
