Mid Century Flip Clocks

June 3rd, 2010

Prior to seeing the Mid Century Modernist’s post about flip clocks, I hadn’t the slightest interest in these type of clocks. However, I’m now very interested and am trying to find a clock like the first image of the 3D rendered Ricoh Clock. I particularly love the reversed type on all of thse and the beautiful number flip that happens as the time changes.

I remember the one my dad had and looking at it the morning listening to the local radio station let people call in and wish someone a happy birthday and one caller would win a cake or something

I dig the third to be honest. Its cleaner and more sleek. for me the color scheme and sleek rounded corners embodies the design period more than the first two.
