The tracks that I enjoy the most from The Dandy Warhols are the ones that probably have had the least amount of attention (with the exception of the third and fourth of this set). The first two tracks below, both without heavy vocals, seem to give off this worldly, almost meditative energy. Oddly enough I’ve found that I listen to them mostly when getting pumped up to go out and shoot photos or while editing photos. Also, ‘Sleep’ on high volume, is a great track to work to.

  1. Awesome. Was listening earlier this week. But are you saying “Bohemian Like You” has the least amount of attention? Vodafone in Europe used it as a major theme for their ads for over a year… To be fair, I was a little sick of it until only very recently…

  2. Rob – I originally wrote this post for the first two tracks (Mohammed & Sleep) then added the third and fourth. You are definitely correct when saying that “Bohemian Like You” is one of the band’s most popular.

I’ve tried to like these guys forever. For the longest time all I could ever get into was The Last High. But the first track is great and I’m looooooooving this second track. It’s exactly what I needed right now. Haven’t listened to the 3rd & 4th ones yet but I might have to put the second on repeat for a minute.
