Atelier Olschinsky Austrian Race Car Photos

November 8th, 2011

Atelier Olschinsky is a small graphic design and photography studio based in Vienna, Austria. These photographs were shot for Nevertheless Magazine of the 1000km Red Bull Ring race circuit. The light in each photo is surreal. Several of them feel as if they’re screen captures from a video game or even a movie.

These are incredible. Dreamiest lighting/post-processing I’ve seen in some time.

If I could ever get that good at post-process…

The interesting compositions mixed with great lighting is awesome. Th post process brings out a very melancholic feel to me, though I have no connection to car racing, but the light itself has some sort of connection to experiences for me.

also, on a side note, does anyone have some good resources for learning about contemporary post process work? I’m not talking tutorials to get one desired effect, but theory and a good background. I seem to have couple of presets that I work from to get decent results, but very rarely get the results I want from starting from scratch.
